Okayama Prefecture: Workshop on "The Job Market for Cambodian Trainees and Investment Potential in Cambodia" in Asakuchi City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan




Asakuchi City, on the afternoon of February 20, 2025, the Cambodia-Japan Kibou Association (CJKA), in collaboration with the Embassy of Cambodia in Japan and the administration of Asakuchi City in Okayama Prefecture, Japan, organized a workshop titled "The Job Market for Cambodian Trainees and Investment Potential in Cambodia." 33 Japanese company representatives and executives attended the event. The workshop aimed to provide updated information on the acceptance of Cambodian technical trainees and skilled workers, and the development of Cambodia's economy, trade, and investment potential. It also sought to expand the job market, attract Japanese investors, and encourage Japanese tourists to visit Cambodia for business and tourism purposes.
Through presentations by Mr. Sin Saray, Commercial Attaché, and Mr. Kao Nirooth, Labor Attaché, who served as speakers at the workshop, all participating Japanese investors and businessmen gained a clearer understanding of the favorable state of Cambodia's economy and commerce, human resource development, the job market, procedures for accepting and sending Cambodian technical trainees and skilled workers abroad, investment opportunities, and the potential for investment in Cambodia. They also learned about Cambodia's investment law, attractive and favorable investment processes, investment facilitation, incentives, and investment support services.
